Integers extend the number line to the left of zero. You already know (whole numbers). Now you add to get the full set of integers. This opens up a whole new world of arithmetic.
Many students find integers confusing at first. "How can you subtract a bigger number from a smaller one?" This Integers Class 6 worksheet will clear up that confusion with plenty of practice.
