When is the Maharashtra SSC Result 2026 Coming?

50 lakh students across Maharashtra are counting the days. The SSC result is expected in the first week of May.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is expected to declare the SSC (Class 10) results in the first week of May 2026. This is consistent with the board's historical pattern — Maharashtra SSC results have been announced in the first or second week of May for the past several years.

Nearly 17 lakh students appeared for the SSC exam this year, writing papers across thousands of centres in Maharashtra. The evaluation process involves lakhs of teachers and takes approximately 45-50 days from the last exam date.

The board has not yet announced an official date, but based on the exam schedule and evaluation timeline, the first week of May is the most reliable estimate.

We will update this page the moment MSBSHSE makes an official announcement. Bookmark this page and check back.

How to Check Your Maharashtra SSC Result 2026

When the result is declared, here is your step-by-step guide:

Method 1: mahresult.nic.in (Primary)
1. Open your browser and go to mahresult.nic.in
2. Click on "SSC Result 2026" link
3. Enter your seat number
4. Enter your mother's first name
5. Click "View Result"
6. Your marksheet will display — screenshot it immediately

Method 2: mahahsscboard.in
1. Visit the official board website
2. Navigate to the results section
3. Enter your seat number
4. View and download your result

Method 3: Alternative Portals
- results.gov.in — Government's central results portal
- maharashtraresult.in — Sometimes faster than the official site

Method 4: SMS
MSBSHSE usually enables SMS-based result checking. The typical format is: MH [space] SSC [space] SEATNUMBER sent to a designated number. Exact details will be announced on result day.

Method 5: Your School
Schools receive results directly from the board. If online access is difficult, visit your school office within 24-48 hours of declaration.

What to keep ready:
- Your seat number (from admit card)
- Mother's first name (for verification)
- A working internet connection

Also bookmark our results page for direct links and live status updates.

If the Website Crashes — Your Backup Plan

With 17 lakh students and their families checking results simultaneously, website crashes are practically guaranteed. Here is what to do:

Stay patient. The result will be available all day and all week. Checking at 10:05 AM versus 11:30 AM makes zero difference to your marks.

Try alternative portals first. results.gov.in and maharashtraresult.in often handle traffic better because fewer people know about them.

Wait 20-30 minutes. The initial surge lasts about 20-30 minutes. After that, traffic drops significantly and the sites become responsive.

Use mobile data. If Wi-Fi is not loading the page, switch to your phone's mobile data. The issue is often with your ISP, not the board's server.

Do not refresh repeatedly. Each refresh sends a new request to the server. Open the page, wait. If it does not load within 60 seconds, close the tab and try again after a few minutes.

Check via the UMANG app. The government's UMANG app sometimes carries board results and has better traffic handling.

Ask a friend in a different area. Sometimes the issue is regional (certain ISPs handle traffic differently). A friend in another part of the city or state might have better luck.

Understanding Your SSC Marksheet

When you access your result, here is what you will see:

Marks structure:
- Each subject is marked out of 100 (typically 80 marks theory + 20 marks internal assessment)
- Total marks are out of 500 (for 5 main subjects)
- Grades may also be assigned alongside marks

Pass criteria:
- Minimum passing marks: 35 out of 100 in each subject
- Students who score below 35 in one or two subjects get ATKT (Allowed to Keep Terms) — they can appear for supplementary exams while continuing to Class 11

What to do immediately:
- Take a screenshot of your result page
- Download the PDF marksheet if the option is available
- Note down your marks and percentage
- The original marksheet will be available for collection from your school later

If you want revaluation:
MSBSHSE offers a verification and revaluation process. You can apply within the specified window after result declaration. Verification involves checking the marks total, while revaluation involves reassessing your answer paper. Details and fees will be on the board's website.

After the Result — Your Next Steps

The result is in your hands. Here is what to think about:

Class 11 admissions:
The Maharashtra FYJC (First Year Junior College) admissions process typically begins shortly after SSC results. In Mumbai, the centralised admission process operates through an online portal. In other cities, you may need to apply directly to colleges.

  • Keep your marksheet and all documents ready
    - Research colleges and streams before results to avoid last-minute panic
    - If you are considering Science, your maths foundation needs to be strong

If you scored well:
Congratulations! Use the summer break wisely. The jump from SSC to FYJC, especially in Science stream, is steep. Students who use this time to get ahead in Class 11 concepts have a significant advantage.

If you got ATKT:
This is not a disaster. ATKT allows you to continue to Class 11 while re-appearing for the failed subject(s). Focus your preparation entirely on the ATKT subject. Practice daily on SparkEd to build strength in weak topics.

If you want to improve:
MSBSHSE offers improvement exams. If your marks are close to a key threshold (like the cutoff for your preferred college or stream), improvement is worth considering.

Marathi Medium Students — You Are Not Left Out

A large number of Maharashtra SSC students study in Marathi medium. We want to address you directly.

SparkEd's interface is currently in English, but maths is a universal language. The equations, formulas, and problem-solving methods are identical regardless of which language you study in. Our questions are straightforward, with minimal language dependency — the focus is on the mathematical content.

We are actively working on Marathi language support and hope to launch it soon. In the meantime, our platform is immediately useful for practice:

  • Topic-wise practice matching the SSC syllabus
    - Three difficulty levels for every chapter
    - Step-by-step solutions that show the working
    - Free downloadable worksheets

Maths does not change with language. A quadratic equation in Marathi and a quadratic equation in English have the same solution. Practice the maths — the language will not be a barrier.
